Saint Pauli - producing phosphorescent tracks from the heart of Hamburg these two crazy bastards have disco in their blood, rock in their souls and turn every party into a pressure cooker ready to explode. Each having a past in various trash and punk bands, the two producers met playing in a surfband. A couple of years later they discovered electronic music, house. Neither looked back. They have long-since evolved into something else entirely: electro rock trash dancefloor hoodlums.

After DJing endless parties, playing innumerable gigs (with: Crookers, the Bloody Beetroots, A-Trak, Uffie, Surkin, Mr. Flash, Shir Khan, Trentemöller, Stereo Mcs)  and producing a whole lot of remixes (for: B52's, Infadels, Malente, The Floor Is Made Of Lava, Acid Jacks, Egotronic)  the time has come for Saint Pauli to show you what they've learned. With new tracks and bouncin' remixes Saint Pauli can be seen and heard around the world...

S.T.B.!...stop the boredom!

PRESS ECHO
"Here are a few tunes from Max of Saint Pauli, a totally awesome remix group from Hamburg that, as far as I can tell, does not nearly get as much press as they deserve. I actually included their Infadels remix on my last promo mix. It totally rocks cuz it has that combination of punk energy, a catchy vocal hook, and electro house production standards which, to me at least, scream New Alternative.

The first tune is, as far as I can tell, their latest remix, one of the B-52’s. It’s a total party banger with a quality that, in my opinion surpasses many of the distorted dancing tunes glutting the market. First, it’s got crystal clear production. Second and thirdly, it’s got a wonderful sense of contrast to the pulsing, side-chained french synthie sounds, and the arpeggiated melodies on top of it. Along with that, it makes a really clever and effective use of the original vocals.

Without being gimmicky or annoying (like many of the glitchy, stuttery vocal lines in remixes today) Juliette in the Spirits is exhilarating and uplifting, a perfect track for maintaining energy at the prime time of a DJ set or driving 80mph down the highway too while going to work. To me, it’s the Summer ‘08 remix worthy of succeeding Shinichi Osawa’s feel good remix of Digitalism’s Pogo. Alongside are a few more goodies he sent me. Enjoy!" (Source: Straight no Chasa Blog)

“Hamburg in da House. After their second compilation support on “This is Bungalow” Maximilian Olowinsky and Ralf Birkel are finally bringing their own Vinyl out into the shops. This 3-Track-EP belongs to the freshest that I have heard coming out of HH (Hamburg) in a long time, and each single Track has the thing to being a Club hit. Dj Koze meets Dj Sneak meets Dj Tocadisco meets Dj Charts, Very cool” (6 out of 6 points) (Source:Raveline)

“…..still more Down-to-the-floor Filter-Madness and manic disco boom are present on the debut EP “Sueden” (“South”) from SAINT PAULI, which effortlessly relocates Paris to Hamburg – Daft Punk couldn’t have done it better in its early years.” (Source:Spex)

“Not only would the Berlin music scene be half as interesting without the Schwabs, but Hamburg too couldn’t do without the import from the wild south. The loudest new thing on the Schanze: Saint Pauli. That’s just the way they are, these schwabs. They have to go out into the world and show everybody what can be achieved with much zeal despite having a strange dialect. There might be a bit of an inferiority complex which always makes them strive for the best and highest achievements. This does not even deter them from adapting the Name of the famously renowned city area or legendary soccer club. It is this same unrestrained attitude that Ralf and Max display with their 303 and produce tracks which are precisely and only made to take off like rockets. There is not much room left for little nuances or tasty additives. What for? A party is too short for boring standing around at the bar and waiting for it to finally take off. Saint Pauli rather get straight to the point”. (Source:Tonspion.de)
