ELECTRO FERRIS - "FIGHT CLUB"

ELECTRO FERRIS  //  "FIGHT CLUB"

Hamburg bad boy Electro Ferris, member of heavyweight German band Deichkind, returns with his second single on Freakz Me Out and it is a big hitter, as it were.

Co-produced and engineered by Tobitob of Moonbootica, “Fight Club” is a huge Electro anthem, with pitch-bending goose bump chords, crisp beats and plenty of sidechaining rave fuel. As per usual we have a hand picked assortment of the finest remixers around doing their magic on this one. Deichkind are among the biggest acts in Germany, playing sold out concerts and destroying festival main stages on a regular basis. Anyone who has ever dodged flying elbows at a Deichkind show knows what’s up with their remix, dangerous.

Fukkk Offf, also from Hamburg has been killing it lately with massive singles such as Rave Is King or The Bottom, an album on New York’s Coco Machete and remixes for Jan Delay, Zombie Nation, Decalicious, Acidkids among others. In trademark style Fukkk Offf gives us hands in the air Electro for Fight Clubs of larger dimensions. Cryptonites go French on us Roulé style with their big chords and big smiles version, keeping the vocal sparse and transforming it into chopped up dancefloor dynamite. Stuttgart’s aUtOdIDaKt has taught himself a thing or two about turning out killer peak-time Electro remixes, like this one, sporting massive detuned synths, driving sequences and the deepest of kicks.

The remix package is completed by Freakz Me Out veteran & big label friend Markus Lange who build a huge floor bomb with his remix.

 ELECTRO FERRIS - "DAY OFF"
ELECTRO FERRIS  //  "DAY OFF"

Germany’s chart-topping ex bad boy of Rap (Ferris MC), aspiring actor, DJ and one of the festival-destroying electrosuperdanceband Deichkind…

Ferris is always on the look-out for new ways of channelling his creative drive. And his latest scheme may be his most devious yet as it involves teaming up with one of the most successful Electro producers of today: Andi Meid (D.I.M., Boys Noize Records).

Electro Ferris is the name of this new venture, which follows up Ferris’s previous outings as one half of Maniax (best known for their club hit “Dark City” on Moonbootique Rec.) and as guest vocalist for Tube & Berger (“Fuck The World”).

Coming in three versions, “Day Off” is a proper summer anthem, like some of Digitalism or Moonbootica’s finest moments. In the original version that features Ferris’s catchy vocal “I put the needle on and play my favourite song…” as well as the club instrumental, a bassline big enough to raise 10.000 hands on its own and straight, crisp beats lay the foundation for those goose-bump chords that partying outdoors was invented for.

The remix then seriously turns up the toughness, driven along by a Flat Beat style buzzsaw bass, harder beats with funky hi-hats and only a small part of the vocal, looped and chopped in the drop for maximum effect on the dance floor. If the original will have them raising their arms, this one will have them climbing fences…
